Notice: If you are receiving an error message that your CyberScrub software is three years old, that message is incorrect. CyberScrub 1.5 and 2.0 were released April 2002 and July 2002 respectively. We have made a patch available to correct this message (please see 2.0 and 1.5 Patches below).

Below are patches for version 3.0 that offer enhanced functionality and corrective modifications.

If you purchased V3.0 prior to April 23, 2003 or have received any CyberScrub V3.0 CD please download and install the appropriate patch below.
Who needs this patch?
1) Anyone that downloaded CyberScrub 3.0 by Internet PRIOR to April 23, 2003
2) Anyone that is installing from the CyberScrub CD mailed PRIOR to June 5, 2003 (If the CD box does not have a Gold band at the top, you should install the patch)

Remove Outlook Newsgroup Database Files ( Click here for V2.0 and below )
Go to the Privacy Guard> Click Next > Click Custom> Click Add
Where it says "Enter the name of Sensitive Area" type "Newsgroups"
At the bottom of the screen, select "OK". In the Newsgroups dialog box select "Add"
At the Add target dialog box select "I'd like to erase some or all files from a folder" and select
Next. Select "I'd like to erase all files matching this filter". Type "Alt*.dbx" (<- without quotation marks removes all groups starting with Alt) in the box.
Proceed to the area "From this folder" and click the button to the right of the entry space to
browse for this file path:
C:\Documents and Setting\YOUR USER NAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\Folder that corresponds to Outlook Identity- this is usually a long series of letters and numbers\Microsoft\Outlook Express\
Click OK, OK, OK

At the bottom of the screen, select "OK". In the "Microsoft Office Recent Item dialog box select "Add"

Next. Select "I'd like to erase all files".
Proceed to the area "From this folder" and click the button to the right of the entry space to
browse for this path line:
C:\Documents and Setting\YOUR USER NAME\Application Data\Microsoft\Office\Recent
